Lorem ipsum generator is an online tool which produces the classic placeholder text used in design since the 1500s. Fill website layouts and mock-ups with realistic looking filler before the real copy is ready.
The usage of this online tool is super easy. Set how many items you need - between 1 and 100 - and choose the unit in more input options: paragraphs, sentences or single words. Next, click on Generate Lorem ipsum button. Finally, you can see your placeholder text in the output textarea, ready to copy.
Where does Lorem ipsum come from?
The text is a scrambled excerpt of Cicero's treatise "De finibus bonorum et malorum" from 45 BC. Its Latin-like rhythm has a similar letter distribution to English, which makes a layout look filled without distracting the reader with meaningful content.
Use Lorem ipsum in wireframes, templates and theme demos. Replace it with real text before going live - search engines and visitors both prefer original content over filler.
